===== Step 1 - Map network drive =====

Open the File Explorer and select //This PC// from the left pane. On the //Computer// tab, click on //Map network drive//:

In the //Map network drive// dialog window, select a drive letter from the //Drive// drop-down menu and provide the //Folder// input field with the network address of your SMB share (e.g., "\\idnas03.d.uzh.ch\G_LINGUISTIK_Data$"). Click on //Finish// to continue.

In the //Windows Security// dialog window, enter "d.uzh.ch\" followed by your user name (UZH shortname) and  your password (Active Directory password) and click on //OK//:

After the connection is successfully estabished, the SMB share appears as a network drive in the Windows File Explorer:
