... mount an SMB share in macOS

Step 1 - Connect to server

Open the Finder on your Mac and choose Go > Connect to Server… in the menu bar:

In the dialog window Connect to Server, enter the network address of your SMB share (e.g., “smb://idnas03.d.uzh.ch/G_LINGUISTIK_Data$”) and click on Connect:

If prompted, click on Connect to confirm the attempt to connect to the server.

Enter your user name (UZH shortname) and password (Active Directory password) and click on Connect:

After the connection is successfully estabished, the SMB share appears as a network drive in the Finder:
