Training

LiRI aims to run regular training sessions for the different devices available in the lab as well as ad hoc training sessions where individual instruction is necessary.

Short Courses

Basic Audiometry

This single session course aims to train users to perform basic air conduction pure tone audiometry using the audiometers available in the lab.

Date: TBC

Collecting EEG Data

This is a six session course which will train participants in how to collect EEG data using our Biosemi Active Two EEG system. The first session will be a class room based introduction to the EEG system and a demonstration. The remaining 5 sessions (3 hours) will be practical hands on sessions where paticipants will act as both experimenter and research subject.

Date: TBC

Meet the Machine

These single session workshops aim to give small groups of students some hands-on experience of using the different technologies available in LiRI. They do not constitute full training but are more like taster sessions. We aim to hold a different session every fortnight during the semester. Each session will be two hours starting at 15:00 with a short introduction to the equipment and its safe use.
